CPRI Trademark

Use of the CPRI Trademark

The Parties have agreed that in any promotion of the Specification, the trademark "CPRI" ("Common Public Radio Interface") shall be used to identify the Specification solely.
The owner of the Specification trademark "CPRI", shall irrevocably not assert its trademark rights against any Party or third party, using the trademark "CPRI" for identifying the agreed Specification solely.

CPRI cooperation is now working on increasing efficiency and the inclusion new features which will be published in new versions of the CPRI specification in due time.

CPRI Cooperation is releasing a new version of eCPRI Specification (eCPRI 2.0). The new specification will enhance the support for the 5G Front-haul by providing functionality to support CPRI (7.0) over Ethernet allowing for CPRI and eCPRI interworking.

The CPRI Specification eCPRI 2.0 (in addition to the eCPRI 1.2 and classic CPRI 1.4, 2.1, 3.0 , 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 5.0, 6.0, 6.1, 7.0 ) is now available for download on the Specification section of this homepage. The updated eCPRI 2.0 specification enhances the support for the 5G Front-haul by providing functionality to support CPRI (7.0) over Ethernet allowing for CPRI and eCPRI interworking. The eCPRI specification supports the 5G Front-haul and provides enhancements to meet the increased requirements of 5G. The successful cooperation to continuously develop the CPRI has made this specification a well-established interface on the market for all Radio Base Station products released by the individual CPRI Parties.

CPRI specifications version 1.4, 2.1, and 3.0 are now available for download. Version 3.0 contains the addition of WiMAX, an increase in the line bit rate and the inclusion of change requests. Version 1.4 and 2.1 is unchanged.
